Assessment Component

Company Assessment : 50%

Log Book Assessment : 10%

Industrial Report : 20%

Presentation : 20%


Merit :  > 80 marks

Satisfactory : > 50 to 79 marks

Fail : < 50 marks

Student needs to obtain minimum marks of 50% from each assessment component in order to obtain satisfactory grade.

Discipline (Rules & Regulations)

Students  are  required  to  comply  to  the  following  Rules  &  Regulation throughout the INTRA period:

1. Student’s discipline shall conform to the following requirements:

  • “DasarLatihanIndustri– InstitusiPengajianTinggi” (KementerianPengajianTinggi, 2010).
  • Company rules and regulation
  • UniKLrules and regulation
  • “AktaPendidikan1996” (Akta550)
  • “AktaIPTS 1996” (Akta555)

2. Proper dress code - put on proper attire as required by the company or the company’s uniform and dust coat (if provided) at all times.

3. Show willingness at all time.

4. Be friendly to the staff of the company – be humble and learn as much as possible.

5. Responsible to uphold the good name of UniKL.   Do not involve in company’s politic.

6. Communicate with the assigned company officials on training matters as well as matters pertaining to medical leave or other similar matters.

7. Maintaingood interpersonalrelationship with supervisor and colleagues.

8. Remain at the assigned company until the end of the training period unless a consent was given by UniKLto change placement.

9. Any students who commit a breach of, or fails to comply with, or contravenes, any of the rules or any restriction, condition or term imposed under these rules/guidelines or any order, instruction or direction given under these rules/guidelines shall be guilty of a disciplinary offence.

On Training

1.Be Punctual. UniKLexpects full attendance of training.

2. Observe all rules on :

  • training.
  • usage of equipment/machines.
  • prevention of accidents.

3. Be inquisitive on new technology and learn as much as possible.

4. Use logbook to record daily activities - maintain this record.

5. See that the assigned Company Supervisor counter-sign the Student Weekly Analysis Report and assess your performance twice throughout the duration of INTRA through the Company Assessment Form.

 6. The supervisor should be aware of your training needs. Be open and discuss the matters with him..

 7. If the training provided fall short of expectations the student should:

  • Make the best out of the training;
  • Try to sort out your problems with the assigned supervisors.
  • At no time you are allowed to quarrel or cause unduly friction to any of the company  personnel;
  • Report to the respective faculty/institute especially when University Supervisor conducts visits.

8. Student  is  not  allowed  to  take  leave  throughout  the  INTRA period without prior approval from  the  company's  supervisor. Student must also inform UniKL'ssupervisor via e-mail  with  a copy of company's  approval  letterIn  case  of  emergency  or medical  reasonstudent  is  allowed  to  take  leave  not  more  thanworking  daysOtherwise  the  student  is  required  to  replace  the unattended days.
