Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Biosystem
- A Science-based engineering programme that integrates science and engineering knowledge, from the molecular to the ecosystem.
- It solves problems involving living things and the natural environment by applying biological system knowledge, engineering analysis and design.
- Its specific applications are in the area of bioprocessing (food and pharmaceutical), commodity processing, bioenergy engineering, and environmental engineering and agriculture industries.
- It aims to improve the quality of live while preserving the environment.
- Its three specialization areas: Industrial biotechnology, pharmaceutical products and primary commodity with the following group of courses:

PLO1
Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, applied biology and engineering technology fundamentals and specialization principles to well-defined applied engineering technology procedures, processes, systems or methodologies in biosystem engineering technology.
PLO2
Plan and conduct experimental investigations of broadly defined problems using data from relevant sources.
PLO3
Perform diagnostic and propose solutions to issues related to biosystem engineering technology.
PLO4
Identify, formulate, research literature and solve broadly defined biosystem engineering technology problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to area of specialization.
PLO5
Design solutions for broadly defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the designs of systems, components or processes related to biosystem engineering technology for sustainable development.

Communicate effectively with the engineering technology community and society.

Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities and norms of biosystem engineering technology practice.

Malaysian University Examination Test (MUET) : Band 2
AND
A Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent, with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in 3 subjects including Mathematics and one science subject and A Pass in (SPM)or its equivalents and a pass in English
OR
A Pass in Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 in relevant fields from UniKL or from other recognized higher learning institutions by Malaysian Government
OR
Pass in UniKL Foundation in Science and Technology or its equivalents from UniKL or other recognized higher learning institutions by Malaysian Government with a minimum CGPA of 2.0; OR Pass in Matriculation in relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.0
International Applicants
A pass in Foundation in Science & Technology

A pass in "A" Levels or its equivalent with pass in 3 subjects

All international students will have to take an English Placement Test (EPT) upon arrival at Universiti Kuala Lumpur unless students students have taken IELTS and TOEFL.
