Programme Aims 

The program aims to support Malaysia’s aspiration of becoming a developed nation by providing a comprehensive, internationally recognised engineering technology doctoral program that fosters professionals with leadership skills who are competent in knowledge creation and capable to deal with complex chemical engineering problems through novel and innovative solution as well as be involved in technopreneurial activities.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Within five years upon completion of the program, our graduates will be:

  • PEO 1
    Chemical engineering technologists who analyse, synthesize and apply science, mathematics and engineering knowledge and laboratory experience to provide technically, environmentally and economically viable solutions to government agencies and private sector in the field of chemical engineering technology at national and international level.
  • PEO 2
    Chemical engineering technologists who manage and communicate effectively in leading and engaging multidisciplinary teams in solving engineering problems at national and international level.
  • PEO 3
    Chemical engineering technologists who utilise engineering knowledge and skills to explore and/or embark on technopreneurial opportunities with novel and innovative research activities at national and international level in the field of chemical engineering technology.
  • PEO 4
    Chemical engineering technologists who integrate ethical, social and professional responsibilities in the field of chemical engineering technology.

At the end of the programme, graduates should be able to:

Entry Requirement

  • Master degree in Engineering/ Engineering Technology/ Technology from local or any other institutions of higher learning as approved by the Senate of UniKL; or
  • English language proficiency level of either a minimum of IELTS band 5.0 or TOEFL 500 (for international students).

Tuitions Fees

  • Local Students Fees  – Full Time: RM1,880.00 per semester Part Time: RM1,250.00 per semester
  • International Students Fees  – RM2,500.00

Scholarship

Scholarship Yayasan UniKL – Tengku Abdullah Scholarship Scheme (YU-TASS)  is awarded to  registered UniKL students every year. The competition is high as students must pass an interview that is held twice a year. A good publication records increases student’s chances in obtaining the scholarship. We highly recommend that students look for other sources of funding if their YU-TASS scholarships applications were unsuccessful.
