PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The main objective of the programme are to provide deep knowledge and equip the graduates with a high level of skill in analysis, critical evaluation through a comprehensive research work. Further more by end of the programmes the students should be able to demonstrate their creativity and flexibility in the application of knowledge and skill to new situations, to solve complex problems and to think rigorously and independently.

While for the research outcomes, the industrial based products becomes the target for research works with the missions to support local industries (SME), to formulate new knowledge (advancement of knowledge) and to generate IP assets such as petents, copyrights, industrial design trade secret etc.


PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES (PEO)

Within five years upon completion of the program, our graduates will be:

PEO Description
PEO1 Chemical engineering technologists who analyse, synthesize and apply science, mathematics and engineering knowledge and laboratory experience to provide technically, environmentally and economically viable solutions to government agencies and private sector in the field of chemical engineering technology at national and international level.
PEO2 Chemical engineering technologists who manage and communicate effectively in leading and engaging multidisciplinary teams in solving engineering problems at national and international level.
PEO3 Chemical engineering technologists who utilise engineering knowledge and skills to explore and/or embark on technopreneurial opportunities with novel and innovative research activities at national and international level in the field of chemical engineering technology.
PEO4   

Chemical engineering technologists who integrate ethical, social and professional responsibilities in the field of chemical engineering technology.

DURATION OF STUDY

PhD (full-time)   : 2 - 7 years

PhD (part-time) : 3 - 9 years


FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

We have an Excellent Graduate Assistanship Scheme (EGA), open to eligible FULL TIME students

Academic Requirements - Bachelor Degree with minimum CGPA of 3.00 or above

Benefits - Monthly Allowance (RM1800.00)

Age - Not more than 35 years old
