I obtained my first degree program in Biochemical Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2001. My career was started as an assistant lecturer at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering Technology since 2002.  In 2005, I continued my study in MS Bioprocess Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with a research project on lignophenol production from oil palm empty fruit bunch, supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohd Ali Hassan. Upon completion of the Master degree, my position was upgraded to lecturer. I was appointed as program coordinator for three programs offered under Bioengineering Technology section from 2009-2012. In 2011, I have been promoted to Senior Lecturer. Later in 2012, I was offered MARA scholarship for PhD study in Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech), Japan. I conducted research related to bioethanol production from oil palm frond juice under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yoshihito Shirai and Prof. Dr. Mohd Ali Hassan. I came back to UNIKL MICET in 2015 upon completion of my PhD and appointed as head of section for bioengineering technology section.

My current research interest is in bioprocess engineering technology, particularly in bioethanol and bacterial cellulose from oil palm frond juice. I have been supervised more than 30 undergraduate students since 2005. I have deep passion in research. To date, I have published 11 research articles and conference proceedings. I managed to obtain two short term research grant (STRG) under UNIKL fund and one FRGS (co-researcher) and currently successfully secured an external research grant, namely FRGS. My achievement in research has been recognized by the peers and I have been invited to review research article by Malaysiana Journal, peer reviewer for ICMST 2016 conference, internal reviewer for STRG grant application as well as PhD proposal for KYPM lecturers. In recognition of my expertise, I have also been appointed as panel for trainers profile development under Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (MOHR). Apart from that I was appointed as examiner for postgraduate proposal defense as well as theses examiner. I was also appointed as a referee for few conference poster and oral presentation such as ICMST 2016, ACB 2015 and GCET 2015. Apart from that, I have been involved in few consultation projects with the industries such as Takex Labo Company, Japan and Furley Bioextracts Sdn. Bhd. UNIKL also has been entrusted me as a coordinator for KKTM Lenggong project since 2015.

I am a member of several professional bodies, such as Associate member of Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Malaysian Society of Applied Biology (MSAB) and Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB).

In teaching, I have been teaching several courses related to my expertise; such as Fermentation Technology, Bioplant Design Project 1, Enzyme Technology, Technology and processing of selected food commodities, Palm Oil Technology 1, Principles of Microbiology and few Diploma in Bioprocess subjects. It is my biggest joy to see the students able to understand the content of the course, which can be exhibited by the outcome (experiments, designs or presentations

In recognition of my contribution, UNIKL has awarded me Excellent Performance Award in 2009 and the recipient of MARA Subsidiaries Icon Award in 2016.  
My idea of learning is ‘knowledge can be gained anywhere, anytime and from anyone’. As research and academic world is dynamic, my deep interest and passion in research and academic has made me to continuously learn new things. I thank ALLAH SWT for the success that I have achieved so far. InshaALLAH, with ALLAH’s will, I will be able to continue to contribute to the students, my colleagues, the university and the ummah.
