Sarjana Muda Teknologi Kejuruteraan Kimia dengan Kepujian

The BCET programme at UniKL MICET covers topics in foundation and chemical engineering technology. Throughout the programme, students learn both fundamental and specialized subjects. Some subjects build upon previously learned knowledge, creating a continuous flow of learning.

The programme offers three main specializations, which students can choose starting from semester five: process, polymer, and environment. It focuses on teaching students about the design, operation, and maintenance of chemical and material manufacturing processes.

In addition, the programme covers developing new processes, project engineering, and troubleshooting, preparing students for a wide range of industries such as petrochemical, chemical processing, advanced materials, information technology, environment, food, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological industries.


  • Objektif Pendidikan Program (OPP)

    • OPP 1
      UniKL graduates who are knowledgeable, competent and innovative which will contribute towards the requirement of the human capital in chemical and/or process engineering technology related industry

    • DPP 1
      Pengetahuan: apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and chemical engineering technology (process) to defined and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies; (SK1 to SK4)
    • DPP 2
      Analisis masalah: Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse broadly-defined chemical engineering technology (process) problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of specialisation; (SK1 to SK4)
    • DPP 3 
      Reka bentuk/pembangunan penyelesaian masalah: Design solutions for broadly-defined chemical engineering technology (process) problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations;(SK5)
    • DPP 4
      Penyiasatan: Conduct investigations of broadly-defined chemical engineering technology (process) problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusions; (SK8)
    • DPP 5
      Penggunaan Alatan Moden: Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to broadly-defined chemical engineering technology (process) problems, with an understanding of the limitations; (SK6)
    • DPP 6
      Ahli Teknologi Kejuruteraan dan Masyarakat: Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technology practice and solutions to broadly-defined chemical engineering technology (process) problems; (SK7)
    • DPP 7
      Persekitaran dan Kelestarian: Understand the impact of engineering technology solutions of broadly-defined chemical engineering technology (process) problems in societal and environmental context and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development; (SK7)

      Etika: Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice; (SK7)
    • DPP 9
      Kerja secara Individu dan Berpasukan: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse technical teams;

      Komunikasi: Communicate effectively on broadly-defined engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions;

      Pengurusan Projek dan Kewangan: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering management principles, business practices, and technopreneurial competencies, as well as identify business opportunities, and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team and to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments;

      Pembelajaran Sepanjang Hayat: Recognize the need for, and have the ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in specialist technologies.

  • Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science subject

Note 1:
Entry DVM/DKM & DLKM starting 21 April 2020

I. Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and the programme must get Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or other Accreditation bodies that are recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.

II. Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the related field. Note 2:
For International students

I. Minimum requirements IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.
II. Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:
– It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin.
– It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
III. Students who enrol with qualification from institutions that fully use English as the language of instruction or from English speaking countries are EXCLUDED from the requirements of competence in English language.
