Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology
(N/524/4/0072) (04/26) (MQA/PA14383)
As Industrial Revolution 4.0 such as additive manufacturing, advanced material, big data, and advanced simulation continue to redefine industrial production, Malaysia’s chemical industry is increasingly searching for highly skilled manpower with Industry 4.0-ready skill sets to enhance its transformation.
In order support this, UniKL MICET will begin offering a 2.5-year diploma programme in Chemical Engineering Technology (DCET) in July 2021. The curriculum is designed to produce manpower with the requisite skills for economic and national development of the nation. The four major specialisations in the program are Sustainable Process Engineering, Biotechnology & Bioengineering, Advanced Material, and Environmental Engineering Technology & Sustainability.
Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology with Honours
(N/0711/6/0020) (05/29) (MQA/PA 17594)
The BCET programme at UNIKL-MICET covers topics in foundation and chemical engineering technology. Throughout the programme, students learn both fundamental and specialized subjects. Some subjects build upon previously learned knowledge, creating a continuous flow of learning. The programme offers three main specializations, which students can choose starting from semester five: process, polymer, and environment. It focuses on teaching students about the design, operation, and maintenance of chemical and material manufacturing processes. In addition, the programme covers developing new processes, project engineering, and troubleshooting, preparing students for a wide range of industries such as petrochemical, chemical processing, advanced materials, information technology, environment, food, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological industries.
Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology (Process) with Honours
(R2/0711/6/0004) (02/29) (MQA/FA11928)
The programme focuses on the design, operation and maintenance of chemical and material manufacturing processes. Chemical Engineers (Process) engineers intimately deal with the scaling up of chemical reactions or processes that are of importance to society. They must determine how to exploit the knowledge on chemical reaction to design and operate facilities and processes in order to produce commercial quantities of a product. Chemical engineering (Process) also involves developing new processes, project engineering and troubleshooting.
